WENDY GERBER
Chief Strategy Officer
Early in her career, Wendy understood she possessed the ability to communicate and strategize brand positioning and growth strategies so that business leaders listened.
This talent led to positions in which she reported directly to Ralph Lauren as head of Marketing, Communications and Special Projects, and to Kenneth Cole as Acting Chief Responsibility and Public Affairs Officer, leading a strategic global reengineering of marketing and corporate responsibility/sustainability programs across all business platforms. At Citigroup, Wendy was selected to lead critical global risk reporting for Citi’s Global Consumer Bank Compliance/Risk Management because of her ability to distill complex information into actionable insights and promote responsible finance.
Wendy works with Alan on major strategy and branding assignments, as Chief Strategy Officer, helping corporations and organizations clarify their brand purpose and positioning to drive revenue growth, impact and thought leadership. She is currently working on marketing and brand strategy projects for clients including New York’s top government relations firm Capalino+Company, brand strategy for the merger of global risk management, investigations and advisory firms K2 Intelligence and Financial Integrity Network, and for Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Wendy has also worked with global non-profit organizations and NGOs, developing marketing and fundraising programs and celebrity engagement campaigns, including digital marketing and tentpole events, working with celebrities including Naomi Watts, Alexis Bledel, Michael Douglas, Will Ferrell and Yoko Ono. Wendy has also developed strategic partnerships with corporations and organizations including Bloomberg, Virgin, Viacom, AT&T, Bank of America, NASDAQ, the NBA and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
Wendy’s Hidden Secret: Wendy has an identical twin, Nonnie, who is a former broadcaster, now communication consultant, executive coach and media trainer—so there are actually two of her! They have switched places before, so keep your eyes open…
